Meet Miranda

Miranda Rose was born into this world to the most loving parents she could have ever been blessed with, of course we are biased, but she seems to be the happiest and most well behaved child we could have prayed for as well. The smile and laughter is contagious and infectious all at the same time. So as time came to decide if I would re-enter the work force I was saddened at the thought to leave her each day. So I decided to create my own business, so my husband and I could be with our precious little girl as much as she could stand us. She taught me to reach for the stars....

Please check out Miranda's blog, where you can see her latest happenings, and her latest food trends, ask questions about your babies eating habits, or ask questions about the menu.

How it all started....

I started making baby food for Miranda when she was 4 months old. I chose to make my own food when I learned that the store bought food, even organic, per FDA guidelines, can still  have so many rat parts per million etc, not that it is intentional but these are big warehouses that they make and package the food in, they are given some leeway, that I just didn't want in my child. Not to mention, have you tried any of that food, it is horrible, bland and just unappealing. If I won't eat it, I certainly won't have my baby eating it. Making it at home, I control what is in the food I give her, the consistancy and they type of food she is given.

I started off with the basics, of which I explain on the Miranda's Best page. Miranda was a great eater. She loved everything and of course she had her favorites. You will find certain foods your baby will like the best, but please don't be afraid to offer new and different tasting foods. My intention was to broaden Miranda's pallet and to help her not grow up to be a picky eater. I would make her things like squash with brown rice and mushrooms and she ate it and absolutely loved it. Miranda loves shopping with me at Costco, because she loves all the little sample stations. She is nine months old now and is not afraid to try anything.

At a young age Miranda lost her only grandfather, to thyroid cancer, a rare and painful disease. So with every purchase of Miranda's Best Baby Food, we will donate a portion of the proceeds to cancer research, with a majority to be donated specifically to thyroid cancer, via the Thyroid Cancer Foundation.
